About BiteBack

So what is it?

BiteBack is a new type of automatic striking device. It automatically strikes the fishing line in response to a freshwater fish taking the angler's bait, greatly reducing the chance of missing the bite; immediately thereafter releasing the fishing line to give the angler full control.

Why should I use it?

Biteback is easy to set up and can provide the element of fun to your fishing trip.

A closer look

Our Consultant Innovate have provided us with a vision of what the BiteBack could look like; below you can preview this concept alongside an early working prototype.

*Please note that the Innovate Concept is shown oversize. The finished product will be considerably smaller.

Improve your Success

BiteBack can help by ensuring you don't miss a beat, and you won't have to keep watching your line like a hawk.

BiteBack is an angling device with a difference.

The purpose of this device is to provide a means of automatically “striking” a fishing line in response to a fresh water fish taking the anglers bait, thus allowing the angler not to be required to constantly watch his fishing line for signs of a fish taking his bait.

Please note: BiteBack acts upon the fishing line independently of the fishing rod.

A huge advantage in using the BiteBack is the action of the unique line clamp.

  • The strike arm is intended to set the hook when a bite occurs and then release the fishing line immediately as if it was no longer there, with no intervention from the angler.

  • Having set the reel in “runner” mode or by setting the bail-arm open, the hooked fish may run freely until the angler, having been made aware either visually or audibly, takes up the fishing rod and proceeds to retrieve the fish.

The device would be especially effective for those freshwater anglers using ledger-tackle techniques to catch Bass, Carp and Trout.
